  My main complaint was the food. It was awful. I had the cod and it was so over cooked, rubbery, string and tough. It almost seemed both over cooked and maybe as though the fish was old. The server was fine about replacing it with a new item but it was obvious she wasn’t impressed with me at all. I’ve served for years, I know when a server is annoyed or put out as I’ve been there myself many times. I then ordered a steak med rare that was a med well at best, and so effing spicy that I couldn’t eat it. I put chilli flakes or tobasco on everything so if it’s too spicy for me it’s way too spicy. I didn’t say anything because I felt bad enough about sending the first entree back. My moms dish was cold, and her chicken was chewy but she’ll eat anything before complaining.

  The debit machine failed to work twice with our waitress, and the manager who came to correct the machine, didn't offer her name after I asked if she had one since I didn't see her name badge...("Sarah - the Manager") got it to work, and without an apology for our dining experience handed me the machine to try for a 3rd time to pay, and said with a smile that I only had to pay for our drinks! Lol what a complete joke!!!!!

  I’m giving this one star because it won’t let me rate it less. This was absolutely terrible. After a 9.5 hr drive through winter conditions we were exhausted and starving and just wanted a good meal before going to bed. I waited at the hostess stand in plain view of 2 servers and a bartender, all of who looked at me but didn’t acknowledge me at all, about 4 minutes before I was sat. The server was nice enough, but she was slow and not easy to find.

  Amazing food & service. The General Manager Robert was very friendly and helpful. He is Awesome. Love the patio. Would highly recommend this place to all people. 5 stars.

  I met my husband for lunch and when the hostess sat us down I asked right away for coffee and she said my server would take my order. We waited almost 20 min for a server to come and take our drink order, and that was after my husband kindly asked for service and then "I" called the restaraunt from my our table via my cell phone and asked for service. I told them where we were sitting. We got service 5 min.later.

  The drinks were way too sweet for classic cocktails like a Moscow mule or a bourbon sour. The service wasn’t “bad” per say, but it was definitely not good. Overall the experience was very disappointing. Milestones is not an expensive restaurant but it’s also not at all cheap. 75$ for two people when the food is over cooked and cold is not worth it at all. We would have been better to go the Swiss chalet next door. We’ve eaten at milestones before, even this location and it’s usually fine, but whatever was going on in the kitchen last night was an overpriced major disappointment. We won’t be back.

  Milestone's has several things going for it that separate it from other restaurants in Kamloops. It has a great view, friendly staff and the environment treads the line between fancy and casual which makes it approachable for a wide variety of customers. Recently, I had their burger which has now made it into my top 3 burgers in town.

  We gave her our order just for fries at that point, and got it 35 min later. And we are on a lunch break.... When our supreme fries came we didn't get offered nor were we brought small plates as we were sharing... (we thought it might be simpler and faster than ordering a larger meal). Then we had to request coffee refills and drink refills! No, NOT IMPRESSED. I've been there many times and always try to give the restaraunt the benefit of the doubt and stay loyal, but with such poor service how can we? It was lunch time, and the restaraunt was quite empty for lunch - no wonder. But they sure want to come to your table as soon as your done to get paid... and not offering to refil coffees after the meal again OR ask if we wanted dessert. Never mind ask us how the food was. No from now on we will find another restaraunt with better service, Earls is always rocking and the service is Waaaaaay better! With larger portions of food to boot. Then there's Cafe Motivo with great food and less cost! Yes my husband told me to never come to this restaraunt again, and quite frankly I must admit he's right. Milestones has gone a mile downhill for sure. I gave it 1 star because I couldn't give it less - though it deserved far less. We should have an OLIVE GARDEN here IN PLACE OF of a MILESTONES!!!
