  Having said that, here's my story. After checking the Wal-Mart Canada website and finding ZERO information about hunting and fishing equipment, I decided to call my local store. A woman from customer service informed me that the Kamloops Wal Mart did not sell hunting equipment or ammunition. (This information is FALSE)

  Always busy but shelves are always stocked and quick service while in check out . Lots of parking aswell.

  I can understand that at a BIG BOX store such as Wal-Mart where the staff are uneducated, underpaid, and under-appreciated that there may be some lag in effort or energy by these people. Fair enough! If I worked at Wal-Mart they'd be lucky if they didn't find me hanging by the ceiling within my first week.

  In the end, I got the ammo I needed, but the service was atrocious...and the selection was poor. They were out of almost every type and I got the last 2 boxes for what I needed.

  After asking around I was told that up until recently WAL-MART did - in fact - sell Firearms Ammunition. I went to investigate and found a case clearly marked in the "OUTDOORS and SPORTS" section clearly marked "AMMUNITION". It took a couple of different staff members to find the keys to the case, and then you have to go over to the electronics desk to pay for your ammunition and show your valid PAL. It took quite awhile.

  The staff here never say hi to me. There was a couple employees I liked here but they seem to have moved on. Oh well! To be honest, a Wal-Mart is a Wal-Mart.

  In the end my message is this; you shop cheap....you get zero service. I would hope that this gives some incentive to managers to investigate why their customer service staff don't know what kind of items they sell at their store.

  Staff are really friendly and helpful. They have express lines, self check out and regular check out. Not very often that there are big lines. Good produce.
